Location Scout

  I went to Oxleas Meadows, because everytime I went past it on the bus, I always thought that this location would look very eerie if we shot some scenes in the dark, because there was so much open space, with only one tree in the middle. It is also a very quiet area, with only small amounts of dog walkers due to there being very little walking pathways, so this would be ideal for a quiet scene, with little interruptions during the filming.

 I thought that this would be a good location, because I've seen films such as the Conjuring and The Lovely Bones (the kidnapping), where they make use of a really open space for the tense scenes, because it shows how vulnerable the character is, where they have no where to hide.

  I also thought of the possibility of using this as a hanging scene, where a dead body is seen dangling from the tree, and in the dark, it would look extremely frightening.

  However, I think that it would be hard, to think of a plot for supernatural horror using this location, because usually you would use a really homely setting, in an abandoned warehouse, or your own home instead of being out in the open, whilst this location would be more suitable for a slasher film.

  This is the open space you can see, from the nearest bus stop, you can see that there is a very large, plain, open space which we may be able to use.
