In this remake film, there is a scene with an elevator were the woman can see a man in the corner that no one else can see. As we want to use a lift in our film its important to see how camera angles and different editing effects are used with these types of scenes.
the shot from outside of the lift is a point of view shot from the woman, this puts the audience in her position and allows them to only see a small part of the man, just like she can.
The use of CCTV is something we are going to use as a group, this green filter and flickering looking light and image looks realistic and also adds to the horror element because the CCTV itself is unpredictable and unreliable. The use of CCTV also shows an insight into the outside and the inside of the lift, this can be more frightening because you can see the doom and horrible images unfold before them.
Again, the change in floors creates tension but also appears like a point of view shot, It is a low angle shot as though the camera is the eye of the girl, looking up at the numbers. This low angle shows vulnerability and how the lift and its movements are in control, and not the girl.
The mid shot of the characters back to back can be used in a number of our scenes in the opening of the film. This creates a feeling of anxiety in the audience where they want to tell the character to turn around, it also creates dramatic irony where the audience know something that the character doesn't.
