Deconstruction: Little girls in Supernatural Horrors

As we are going to be having a young girl in our sequence, I will look at the mise en scene of young girls within supernatural horrors so we know what to base our young girl on, and also how she will act within our opening piece. 

I looked at the young girls in Mama and case 39 because in both, the girls are either the main villain or are allies of the main villain, 

As you can see here, the older girl is walking very straight and has her arms by her sides, whereas the younger, feral girl is crawling around on her hands and feet. 

The older girl is wearing a coat and glasses and most importantly - shoes. The younger girl is wearing a comfortable tracksuit (As she runs around a lot) and she is not wearing shoes, only socks. The younger girl is also walking on two feet but she looks very awkward and bent because it is unnatural for her.

Here the two young girls were caught playing with 'Mama' and as you can see the older girl fills out her clothes and wears them properly whereas the clothes hang off of the younger girl because she's so skinny. The clothes also look like they haven't been washed or as if she's played outside in them. 

Here you can see food all round the girls mouth, her hair hasn't been brushed in a long time, and she has dirt on her face, only because she wont allow anyone to get close enough to her to brush her hair or give her a bath.

As you can see she's struggling to get away from her as she doesn't like any form of contact.

Fortunately for us, the young girl will not be touched by the two people, only followed, so we do not have to show her this close until the very end when she catches them in the lift.

Again here you can see the dirt on her face and the dirtiness of her clothes, also her teeth have never been brushed so they never developed properly and are all brown and horrible. 

Fortunately for us, we will not be showing the young girls teeth, her mouth will be closed at all times and you will probably never see her face until the very last few seconds. 

EVALUATION: 

Our young girl will have black hair and it is of medium length, if we don't brush her hair on the day it should be fine, if not we'll back comb it a little. Also we will have a cute little pink dress for her to wear and it is slightly too big for her so she will look like the young girl in this clip.
